Teenager injured in Oakleigh East hit run

Police are appealing for public assistance following a hit-run collision involving a 14-year-old pedestrian in Oakleigh East earlier this month, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told the teenage boy stepped out onto Dandenong Road, between Huntingdale Road and Oakleigh Road, about 12.40am.

The Oakleigh East boy was clipped by a south-bound sedan, and fell to the road with minor injuries.

The vehicle continued, without stopping or giving assistance.

A left external rear vision mirror, believed to be from a Ford, was located at the scene.

The vehicle is believed to be a Ford sedan, beige or similar in colour.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
