A teenager missing from Sydney's inner west has been located safe and well in Malabar.
The 16-year-old boy was last seen leaving his home on Holborow Street, Croydon, to catch a bus to his school about 7.30am today (Tuesday 1 February 2022).
When he failed to attend school and could not be located, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were notified this afternoon and commenced inquiries to locate him.
Following extensive inquiries and a geo-target message issued to the Malabar and surrounding areas, about 10.10pm, a member of the public alerted police after sighting the missing teenager.
He was located safe and well at a park in Malabar.
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
