Teens Arrested Over Attempted Melbourne CBD Robbery

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested four youths after an alleged attempted robbery in Melbourne's CBD last night.

Police were called after a 15-year-old boy was approached by a group of teenagers at a train station platform on Latrobe Street about 5.55pm.

It's alleged the group stood over the victim, while one of the teens demanded the victim hand over his shoes.

The victim managed to flee, before notifying staff at the train station.

The group fled the scene empty handed and were arrested nearby.

A 16-year-old St Albans girl, a 15-year-old Sunbury boy and a 14-year-old Sunbury girl were released pending summons.

A 14-year-old St Albans boy was issued with a caution.
