Teens Charged for Break-Ins in Brisbane, Gold Coast

Three teenagers have been charged following investigations into a series of break and enter offences across South Brisbane and the Gold Coast Districts.

It is alleged between 30 March and 31 March, the group were connected to a series of break and enter offences including at a Skyview Avenue residence at Rochedale, a Red Cedar Crescent residence at Calamvale and a property on Redbud Lane in Robina.

An 18-year-old Coomera man has been charged with six offences, including one count each of attempted enter dwelling with intent, enter dwelling with intent by break whilst armed in company, attempted robbery uses violence whilst armed, assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, unlawful use of motor vehicles, and wilful damage.

He is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

A 17-year-old Browns Plains boy has been charged with 14 offences including three counts each of robbery and unlawful use of motor vehicles, two counts each of enter dwelling with intent and attempted enter dwelling with intent, and one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, trespass, and wilful damage.

He is expected to appear in Richlands Children's Court today.

A 16-year-old Coombabah boy has been charged with 14 offences including three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles, two counts each of armed robbery uses personal violence and attempted enter dwelling with intent, and one count each of attempted robbery whilst armed, assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed, obstruct police officer, wilful damage, attempted enter dwelling with intent, enter dwelling with intent by break whilst armed in company, and trespass.

The boy has also been charged with a further nine offences which he is alleged to have committed in South Brisbane in early December including three counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, two counts each of robbery in company whilst armed and unlawful use of motor vehicles, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent whilst armed in company, and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He is due to appear in Southport Children's Court today.

The two other teenagers arrested yesterday, aged 18 and 14, were released without charge.

Inquiries are ongoing to locate two other teenagers allegedly involved in these offences.
