Four teens will face court charged with property and traffic-related offences in the Central West.
About 1.30am on Monday 26 May 2025, police were called to a service station on Grenfell Road, Cowra, following reports of a fail to pay.
Checks revealed the black Mercedes Benz was allegedly stolen from a home on Hanna Street, Cowra, on Sunday 25 May 2025.
The vehicle was located abandoned in bushland at the Erambie Mission, Cowra, and seized for forensic examination.
Following inquiries, about 2.45am yesterday (Wednesday 28 May 2025), police attended a home in Cowra and arrested a 17-year-old boy.
A short time later a 14-year-old boy attended Cowra Police Station and was arrested.
The 17-year-old boy was charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, destroy/damage property in company over $5000, harm or attempt to harm a protected animal, break and enter dwelling-house with intent (steal), and breach of bail.
The 14-year-old boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, destroy/damage property in company over $5000, armed with intent commit indictable offence, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen, and breach of bail.
Just after 830am today (Thursday 29 May 2025), police attended two homes in Cowra and arrested two boys – aged 17 and 15 – they were both taken to Cowra Police Station.
The older boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and dishonestly obtain property by deception.
The 15-year-old boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
Three boys aged – 17, 15, and 14 – were refused bail to appear at a children's court today (Thursday 29 May 2025).
The other 17-year-old was given conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Monday 28 July 2025.
