Two teenagers are in police custody following an alleged vehicle theft and pursuit in Sydney's south west today.
Shortly before 8.30am today (Friday 22 May 2026), officers from Liverpool Police Area Command were patrolling on Humphries Road, Bonnyrigg, when they saw a green BMW SUV being driven dangerously.
When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, with the assistance from PolAir.
The pursuit continued through multiple suburbs including Mount Annan, Narellan and Camden Bypass, before it turned onto the north of the Camden Bypass.
A short time later, the vehicle came to stop at a carpark near Lithgow Street, Campbelltown, where two occupants abandoned the car and left the scene on foot.
The two boys – aged 15 and 16 – were arrested nearby.
Initial inquiries indicate the BMW was allegedly stolen from an address in Elizabeth Hills earlier today.
The two teenagers were taken to Campbelltown Police Station where inquiries continue.
