Telco call centres impacted by typhoon in Philippines

Some telcos have told us an extreme weather event has meant their contact centres located in the Philippines have had to close.

If you are experiencing problems contacting your telco

  • Be aware contacting your telcos may take longer. Some telcos are responding to high customer demand while operating with reduced customer support staff. It may take longer than usual for your telco to assist you.
  • Try using your telco's preferred contact method. If your telco is asking customers to contact it using a preferred method, such as online chat, use this method where possible.
  • If your complaint is urgent, let your telco know. Your telco should have a suitable way to report urgent issues. Some have a dedicated phone number, online link, or may use technology to identify urgent issues in online complaints.

If you have made a genuine effort to contact your telco and been unable to, you can make a complaint online or call us on 1800 062 058.
