Temporary closure of selected lookouts and car parks for Easter - Wollongong

Wollongong City Council is supporting a request from NSW Police to close access to a number of popular sites over the Easter long weekend.

The sites have been targeted as they're areas people often meet in to socialise. The closure will support the NSW Police as they enforce Government orders regarding gatherings and social and physical distancing.

From after midday on Thursday 9 April, Council staff will close the following:

  • Bald Hill carpark – limited parking. The kiosk and amenities will remain open
  • Sublime Point Lookout, including the kiosk
  • Mt Keira Lookout, including the kiosk
  • Flagstaff Hill carparks (lower, middle and upper)

These spaces will remain closed to vehicles over the long weekend. They will reopen on Tuesday morning.

Council asks all residents to follow the Government's orders to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus. We ask everyone to follow health and wellbeing advice and to stay home unless it's essential you leave.
