Temporary Daytime Road Closures Announced For East Grampians Rural Pipeline Works

Ararat Rural City Council wishes to advise the community of upcoming temporary daytime road closures as part of Mitchell Water's works on the East Grampians Rural Pipeline Project.

Deenicull Creek Road will be closed to through traffic from 30 September to 10 October 2025. During this time, a short section of nearby Philip Flat Road, between Deenicull Creek Road and Rocky Point Road, will be closed for two days.

Further temporary daytime closure will occur on Tatyoon North Road from 14 October to 23 October 2025.

Works across these locations will occur between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM daily.

Roads will reopen each evening, and detours will be clearly signposted. Local landholders will continue to have access throughout the works.

Ararat Rural City Council thanks the community for its patience as these essential upgrades proceed.

Dr Tim Harrison, Chief Executive Officer, said, "The ongoing East Grampians Rural Pipeline Project is an exciting step forward for our region, one that promises benefits for our farming community and those who rely on a dependable supply of water. We ask everyone to plan ahead and follow the detours while the works are underway. Council will continue working alongside contractors to keep any disruption to a minimum."
