Several people have been charged following the execution of ten search warrants in relation to investigations under Strike Force Sweetenham.
In June 2025, Strike Force Sweetenham identified members of a criminal group alleged to have committed offences targeting motor vehicles in several suburbs across Sydney.
On Wednesday 6 August 2025, investigators executed six search warrants at locations in Prestons, Panania, Minto, Glenfield, Revesby and Liverpool.
On Thursday 7 August 2025, an additional four search warrants were executed at locations in Lurnea, Hinchinbrook, Ingleburn and Fairfield.
During the search warrants, police seized cash, a firearm (gel blaster), a tracker and numerous mobile phones.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at an address in Glenfield. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with Steal Motor Vehicle and Participate Criminal Group.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Prestons. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with Aggravated B&E commit serious indictable offence-SI (x2), Steal Motor Vehicle (x2), Dispose motor vehicle part-theft=serious indictable offence > $5000, Enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence and Participate Criminal Group.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Minto. He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with knowingly direct activities of criminal group-T1, aggravated B&E commit serious indictable offence-SI (Accessory) (x6), Steal Motor Vehicle (x7) and receive vessel/part-theft=serious indictable>$5000-T1.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Liverpool. He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with aggravated B&E commit serious indictable offence-SI, steal motor vehicle, enter building/land with intent to commit indictable offence-T1 and Participate Criminal Group.
All were bail refused to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 7 August 2025).
Today (Thursday 7 August 2025) an 18-year-old man was arrested at an address in Badgerys Creek and a 16-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Hinchinbrook. They were taken to Liverpool Police Station.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Fairfield. He was taken to Fairfield Police Station.
They are assisting police with their inquiries.
