Territory's Newest Firefighters Commence Training

The NT Fire and Rescue Service has welcomed 12 new recruit firefighters this week.

Recruit Squad 52 is made up of 10 Territorians and 2 interstaters, and the group commenced their training on Monday.

Over the next 20 weeks, they'll undergo a rigorous program that will enable them to serve and protect the Northern Territory community.

Components of the NTFRS recruit course include:

Recruit Squad 52's commencement follows an Australia-wide recruitment campaign, Be Part of Something Bigger, which rolled out earlier this year. The campaign was designed to encourage people to consider a career with the NT Fire and Rescue Service, and its success is helping fill future recruit courses.
