Ballina Shire Council advises that essential stormwater infrastructure works will commence on Teven Road, West Ballina.
The project involves replacing large multi-cell culverts on Teven Road between Stokers Lane and Wellers Road to improve the reliability and performance of the local stormwater network.
Preliminary works and site establishment will commence from Monday 10 August 2026.
Road closure
To safely complete the works, Teven Road will be closed between Stokers Lane and Wellers Road from Monday 17 August 2026 for approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
A signed detour will be in place via North Teven Road.
What to expect
Construction will take place between 7.00am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
During the works, motorists can expect changed traffic conditions, traffic control and a signed detour via North Teven Road.
