The NSW SES has been busy over the past four days responding to calls for help from the impact of heavy rain across Coastal NSW.
A low pressure system brought wide-spread rainfall with heavier localised falls to eastern NSW.
Volunteer members have gone to 303 call-outs with 55 still to be completed over the next few days. Our members have fitted tarps on roofs, cleared trees from driveways and from houses and garages, laid sandbags against doorways to stop water from entering homes and assisted people from their homes after structural damage was caused by heavy rain.
NSW SES Incident Controller, Tony Day said "We can all be proud of the effort volunteers have put into supporting their communities."
"Our members have once again put in an amazing effort assisting their communities to recover from the impact of severe weather" Mr Day said. "We sincerely thank them for their efforts and their time."
"We also send a very big thank you to our members' families and their employers for supporting them to work with us." Mr Day added.
NSW SES reminds people to stay aware over the coming days as rain is expected to continue into next week. Take care on the roads and drive to conditions.
