That's a wrap - October Business month the biggest ever in 2022

5 November 2022

October Business Month has wrapped up for another year, delivering a packed program of more than 120 events and workshops for Territory businesses.

The month long program of events offered insight into a range of topics from bolstering a business' workforce, emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic stronger, motivating and retaining staff, improving business growth to developing relationships with the Territory's international neighbours.

The OBM program enabled Territorians to connect and network with other businesses, learn new things and develop new skills and be inspired by our keynote speakers and Territory Success stories.

Over 2,800 people registered to attend 117 partner events, delivered by 48 partners in all five regions.

Territory businesses heard from our keynote speakers who talked about leadership, resilience and overcoming adversity, they included:

· Dr Richard 'Harry' Harris, 2019 Australian of the Year and key member of the 2018 Thailand Rescue Diving team

· Ita Buttrose, legendary media trailblazer, businesswomen and former Australian of the Year

· Dr Anika Molesworth, founding Director of Farmers of Climate Action and 2015 Young Farmer of the Year

· Dr Dan Pronk, co-author of The Resilience Shield and resident medic on Channel Seven's SAS Australia

· Christian Boucousis, former Australian fighter pilot, successful businessman and entrepreneur

Our Territory Success Stories featured inspiring stories of local business people who have succeeded in the face of adversity, have followed their dreams or their vision.

Anyone who attended an October Business Month event has the chance to win a Dili travel package, courtesy of Airnorth worth over $4,000 by completing the OBM 2022 evaluation survey.
