Theft of bank cards from car on Chapel Street

Police are hoping to identify a man after a number of items were stolen from a car in South Yarra on 1 December, Victoria Police say.

Police were told a man broke into a car on Chapel St and stole items including credit cards at about 7.30am.

The offender then used the victim’s bank cards at various convenience stores around the corner on Toorak Rd.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian, in his 30s, approximately 183cm tall with a slim build

Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

Anyone with information or who may recognise the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
