Theft of hand sanitiser and face masks, man charged - Cranebrook

A man will face court later this month accused of stealing bottles of hand sanitiser and face masks from a factory in Prospect.

About 1.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 September 2020), police allege a man forced entry into a business on Rowood Road, Prospect. It is further alleged he used a forklift to load two pallets of boxes into a Toyota Land Cruiser.

The pallets contained 1,350 bottles of sanitiser and face masks valued at $7,000.

The Blacktown Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation and about 4pm yesterday, (Tuesday 1 September 2020), attended a house in Challenger Way, Cranebrook and executed a warrant, locating the sanitiser and masks in the garage.

The 34-year-old man was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station. He was charged with break and enter, and owner not disclose identity of driver.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Monday 21 September 2020.
