Theft of high-value watches, Brisbane City and Indooroopilly

Brisbane City Detectives have released CCTV footage and stills of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations into the theft of high-value watches from Brisbane City and Indooroopilly in 2015 and 2016, Queensland Police say.

On January 28, 2015 between 2.30pm and 2.52pm a men’s Tag Heuer wrist watch valued at over $5,000 was stolen from a jewellery store in Indooroopilly Shopping Centre.

On January 27, 2016 at about 12pm, a men’s Rolex wrist watch valued at over $15,000 was stolen from a jewellery store on Queen Street, Brisbane City.

During both incidents the genuine watch was replaced with a high-end replica while being tried on.

Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify the man.
