Central Victoria Response Unit members are appealing for information following a theft in East Bendigo, Victoria Police say.
Police believe up to four people entered a business on Jewell Court sometime overnight between 6 and 7 April.
The offenders left the scene in a dark-coloured Holden sedan, which was used to tow a stolen trailer and excavator from the scene.
Police have released an image of a vehicle they wish to identify, as well as images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The man was wearing dark clothing including a jacket, track pants with white stripes down the side and a hat with white on the front.
