Thief uses stolen credit card in Melbourne's south

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a thief who used a stolen credit card in Melbourne's south last month.

Police have been told a credit card was stolen from a car in Carrum Downs sometime between 6pm on Thursday 8 August and Friday 9 August.

The victim's credit card was later used between 2am and 8am on 9 August at stores in Seaford, Patterson Lakes, Dandenong, Dingley and Mentone.

The male made more than 30 transactions valued at more than $3000.

Police have released an image a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
