Thief uses stolen credt card in Chapel Street

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are hoping to identify a thief who used a stolen credit card in Prahran on 21 March.

Police have been told a stolen credit card was used by an unknown man to purchase food from a fast food outlet on Chapel Street about 5am.

The man then attended a nearby ATM and used the same stolen card to withdraw a large amount of cash.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged 25 to 35-years-old with brown hair and sideburns.

He was wearing a white baseball cap with the word 'Childe' on the front, a blue Adidas jacket with white stripes, tan pants and black runners.

Police have released an image a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
