Thieves Raid Princes Hill Home, Steal Urn and Coins

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released vision and images to appeal for information following a burglary at a Princes Hill home earlier this month,

It is understood four people broke into the property on Pigdon Street, smashing the front windows to gain entry around 1.50am on March 11.

Police were told they stole goods and sentimental items, including a distinctive blue and silver urn containing the victim's fathers' ashes.

They also took several antique Australian coins handed down through generations to the victim.

No one was home at the time of the incident.

It is believed two of the offenders fled the scene in what is believed to be a small hatchback vehicle, while the other two ran from the scene.

Investigators have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Detectives have also released images of the items that have been stolen, in the hope that someone may recognise them.
