Thinking LNP voters urged to defy party's Senate HTV card & reject Palmer

Australian Conservatives Release

Installing the buffoonery and chaos of Clive Palmer in the Senate is the price the Coalition is inflicting on Australians as they seek to keep Bill Shorten and the Greens away from the Lodge, Conservative Party Queensland Senate Candidate Lyle Shelton said today.

"No conservative wants to see a Shorten led Labor-Green government but it goes to the dysfunction of Canberra that the price the Liberals have to pay to be in the race to retain government is to potentially hand a Senate seat to Clive Palmer," Mr Shelton said.

"The Liberals and Nationals have spent years attacking Mr Palmer but at election time they are in bed together because that is the price of power. No wonder the public hate politicians," he continued.

"I would urge thinking LNP voters to defy the LNP's how to vote card in the Senate and instead vote Australian Conservatives. The best way to turn Canberra around is to install 'club sensible' Australian Conservatives who will fight for coal or nuclear-powered electricity and push back on the toxic political correctness that has infected the Canberra establishment," Mr Shelton said.
