On behalf of the Tasmanian Government I would like to pass on my sincerest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the man who sadly passed away today from coronavirus.
The man in his 80s who was being cared for at the North West Regional Hospital, is the third Tasmanian we have lost to COVID-19.
It is a stark reminder that this virus sadly does take lives and we must continue to do all we can to protect Tasmanians.
I would again like to thank the hard working staff at the NWRH under what are some of the most difficult circumstances they'll ever have to face.
