Third man arrested for burglary of nine cars in Doncaster

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have now arrested a third alleged burglar after nine cars were stolen from a car dealership in Doncaster on 24 October.

The 43-year-old Carrum man was arrested following a search warrant in Carrum as part of Operation Exuma, a three-week investigation spanning Croydon, Dandenong, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.

He has been charged with handling stolen goods and theft of motor vehicle, and has been remanded to the Dandenong Magistrates' Court at a later date.

Investigators have recovered six of the motor vehicles stolen from the dealership.

A 41-year-old Dromana man was charged with 11 offences, including burglary and theft. He was remanded to the Ringwood Magistrates' Court on 1 November.

A 43-year-old Dandenong man was arrested on 31 October after he was located one of the alleged stolen cars at a Patterson Lakes address. He was charged with theft and has been bailed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates' Court on 11 December.

The investigation remains ongoing.
