Third person arrested after Sunbury shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have today arrested a third person following a non-fatal shooting in Sunbury in February.

A 31-year-old Roxburgh Park man was arrested this morning and will now be interviewed by police.

The arrest follows the shooting of a 57-year-old Sunbury man as he got out of his vehicle in the driveway of a Belleview Drive, Sunbury property on Saturday, 8 February.

Police previously charged two people in February in relation to this incident.

A 39-year-old Kangaroo Flat man was charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury and conduct endangering life.

A 40-year-old Long Gully woman was charged with attempted armed robbery, intentionally and recklessly cause serious injury, conduct endangering life and prohibited person possess and use firearm.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
