Third person arrested re assault in Telopea

A third person has been charged with the alleged assault of a business man at Telopea earlier this month., NSW Police say>

About 12.15pm on Monday 6 August 2018, two females went into a business in Rowe Street where it is alleged they placed unpaid items under their clothing.

The manager approached the teens to speak about the alleged theft. They removed the items before leaving the store.

The man followed the females outside to speak to them further when it is alleged the females were joined by two males who allegedly assaulted the man.

The group left the area and the man was taken to hospital suffering facial injuries.

On Friday 24 August 2018, police arrested a 17-year-old teen. He was taken to Ryde Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will appear in a children’s court on 3 September 2018.
