A third person has been charged following an alleged brawl involving players and spectators at a sporting event in Sydney's south-west over the weekend.
Emergency services were alerted when a fight began about 3.30pm on Saturday (30 May 2026), at an under 17s boys' soccer match in a park on Iluka Street, Revesby.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated an 18-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he received further treatment for injuries including a bite to his back.
Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were informed that a number of spectators had entered the field of play after a fight broke out between players.
As part of investigations, police have charged two people over their alleged involvement in the brawl. They both remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, about 3.30pm on Monday (1 June 2026), police arrested a 16-year-old boy at Bankstown Police Station.
He was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Following further extensive inquiries, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 2 June 2026), officers arrested an 18-year-old man also at Bankstown Police Station.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
The 18-year-old was refused bail and will appear before Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 3 June 2026).
