Third suspect arrested over hotel robbery, South Australia

The third and final suspect from a robbery in October last year has been arrested.

Police will allege that on Wednesday 9 October 2019, three suspects went to the hotel on Old Port Wakefield Road at Virginia armed with weapons including firearms, demanded cash and left in a vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.

Yesterday (Tuesday 7th January), detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force with the assistance of STAR Group officers arrested a 29-year-old man from Northfield and charged him with aggravated robbery.

The other two suspects have previously been arrested by Serious Crime Task Force Detectives.

The Northfield man did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Detective Superintendent Steve Taylor, officer in charge of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch says, "The victims of this robbery can take some comfort in the knowledge that SOCB detectives have arrested the final suspect for this offence. It should also serve as a warning that we will continue investigations until every person associated with serious criminal offending is brought to justice."
