Police have three people in custody after a covert operation was established to investigate multiple break-ins targeting premises across western Sydney during the past three weeks.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command, with the assistance of staff attached to North West Metropolitan Region, formed Strike Force Allanson on Monday 26 May 2025, after almost 40 businesses were broken into across western Sydney between Tuesday 13 May and today (Wednesday 4 June 2025).
Police will allege a 42-year-old woman coordinated a break, enter and steal campaign targeting a variety of businesses including cafes and takeaways stores, barbers, and supermarkets.
Police will further allege young men were used to assist in the break-ins.
Strike Force Allanson police arrested the woman and an 18-year-old man shortly after 3am (Wednesday 4 June 2025), outside a supermarket in Whitecross Road, Winmalee.
Police will allege the man was armed with a hammer and was arrested after smashing the glass window multiple times. The woman was arrested in a car nearby. Both have been taken to Springwood Police Station.
An 18-year-old man was arrested about 10am at a home in Sorenson Crescent, Blackett. He has been taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.
A Suzuki Swift, which police will allege was the car being used in all operations, has been seized and taken for further examination.
A total of 39 businesses are alleged to have been targeted by the organised group including,
- Three food outlets in O'Connell Street, Caddens, about 1.30am on 19 May.
- Three food outlets in the St Clair shopping village at St Clair about 4am on 20 May
- Two food outlets, a newsagent and a nail salon on Watergum Drive, Jordan Springs, about 12.10am on 25 May.
Hammers were allegedly used to smash windows and doors by youths who then stole goods, cash, and personal items. Total damage to the businesses is estimated to be up to $150,000.
