Three Arrested at Opossum Bay After Police Chase

Three teenagers are in custody after an incident in the South Arm and Opossum Bay areas earlier this afternoon in which it is alleged the trio tried to evade police, firstly on motorcycles, and then on foot.

A significant police presence, including uniform officers and drone resources, was in the area around 3.35pm to 4.35pm conducting search activities and patrolling some areas of Opossum Bay.

An 18-year-old man and two male youths, both aged 16, have been safely taken into custody.

The operation stemmed from an incident earlier today when police were notified by members of the public that two motorcycles were being ridden in a dangerous manner on the South Arm Highway past Rokeby, heading towards South Arm.

Investigations in relation to this afternoon's events will also include inquiries into numerous recent complaints of similar driving behaviour in the Clarence area over the past week.

If anyone has information regarding today's incident, or dashcam footage of the alleged dangerous driving, contact police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestopperstas.com.au
