Three arrested following Hoppers Crossing aggravated burglary

Police have arrested three 18-year-old men following an alleged aggravated burglary in Hoppers Crossing on Wednesday afternoon (13 June), Victoria Police say.

Police received reports of two men breaking into a Barber Drive home about 12.40pm.

Within minutes, police arrived at the address and were allegedly rammed by a car parked outside the address.

The stolen car has then allegedly rammed another police vehicle responding to the scene on Heaths Road.

The driver has abandoned the car and was arrested by police after a short foot chase.

Two men were also arrested at the scene of the aggravated burglary.

One police member sustained a hand injury during the second ramming and the police car sustained major damage.

The three men, all from Bundoora, are currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.

A teenage girl home at the time of the incident was not injured.
