Three arrested for breaking into cars at Thebarton , SA

Calls from the public and a rapid response from patrols has led to the arrest of three teens early this morning, according to SA Police.

Just after 2.30am, Thursday 28 September, a member of the public called police after hearing noises and noticed a car door open in Ballantyne Street. Patrols quickly attended the area and found two teenage girls and a teenage boy hiding in the front yard of house on George Street.

All three were in possession of goods suspected to be stolen from cars. The boy also had a screwdriver and a knife.

The 16-year-old boy from Salisbury North, 15 year-old girl from Ridgehaven and 14-year girl from Elizabeth Vale have all been arrested and are being interviewed. They are expected to be charged later this morning.

Police ask anyone who wakes up this morning at Thebarton and notices their car has been broken into to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
