Three Arrested in SF Raptor Shooting Plot

Three men have been arrested in relation to the alleged organisation of vehicles to be used in a planned public place shooting.

Investigations were carried out by police from Strike Force Raptor.

About 12.05am today (Wednesday 13 August 2025) officers from the Tactical Operation Unit conducted a high-risk vehicle stop of a black Kia Serato at the intersection of the M4 and Prospect Highway, Blacktown.

During the vehicle intercept it will be alleged that bean bag rounds were fired into the vehicle by officers.

The 22-year-old driver and the 17-year-old passenger – both males – were arrested.

It will be alleged that the driver was bitten by a police dog. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Blacktown Hospital for treatment where he remains under police guard.

The teenager was taken to Blacktown Police Station where inquiries are continuing.

Around the sametime detectives stopped a VW T-cross travelling along Carlton Street, Granville.

Police arrested the driver and sole occupant – a 36-year-old man – without incident.

He was been taken to Granville Police Station where inquiries are also continuing.

A search warrant was later executed at a home on Roebuck Avenue, Willmont, where police allegedly seized a loaded Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver.

Investigations are continuing.
