Three arrested on stolen scooter, SA

Three teenagers have been arrested on a stolen scooter overnight, according to SA Police.

While patrolling the Birkenhead area, police spotted four people on a scooter, without helmets, about 1.30am on Wednesday 9 November. They immediately abandoned the scooter in Heath Street, Birkenhead and three of the riders were quickly arrested.

Police checks revealed the green scooter had been stolen from Victoria Drive, Adelaide yesterday afternoon.

A 16-year-old girl from Christies Beach, a 17-year-old girl from Christie Downs and an 18-year-old Parafield Gardens man were all arrested and charged with illegal use of the stolen scooter.

None of them have applied for bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Youth and Magistrates Court today.
