Three arrested over prohibited-drug supply in Wollongong

Two men and a woman are in custody following the execution of three search warrants in the Wollongong area today, NSW police said.

The warrants were part of Strike Force Bunnal, an ongoing investigation by police from Wollongong Local Area Command into the supply of prohibited drugs in the area. 

The warrants were executed simultaneously about 9.30am today (Tuesday 10 November 2015).

Two warrants were executed at home units in Phillips Avenue, West Wollongong. Both these units are located in the same building.

Officers also searched a house in Collaery Road, Russell Vale. 

During the searches, police seized quantities of heroin, cannabis and methylamphetamine (“ice”), along with cash, drug paraphernalia and other items relevant to the investigation. 

At one of the home units in Phillips Avenue, police arrested a 44-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman. A second man, aged 58, was arrested at the other home unit. 

All three people have been taken to Wollongong Police Station, where they are assisting police with their inquiries.
