Three arrests following Sunshine North stabbing

Three young women have been arrested following a stabbing in Sunshine North, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a 26-year-old man suffered serious injuries following an alleged stabbing on Thursday 4 May.

He was taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.

An 18-year-old woman from Seaford, a 16-year-old girl from Richmond and a 17-year-old girl from Frankston were charged with intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, recklessly causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally causing injury, recklessly causing injury, assault with weapon, assault in company and theft.

It is alleged the trio were also involved in a robbery in Flinders Walk earlier that day where they allegedly stole a man’s backpack.

They have been charged with robbery, theft, assault in company, assault with weapon and unlawful assault.

The 18-year-old was arrested yesterday and has been remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates Court 19 May.

The two youths were arrested on 10 May and have been remanded to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
