Three charged after brawl in Coogee

Three men have been charged after a brawl at a licensed premise at Coogee yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 9pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the business on Dolphin Street, after reports of a fight.

Police will allege three men – aged 24, 27 and 31 – were involved in an altercation with another group of men, during which chairs were thrown.

Three people were injured including two employees – aged 20 and 30 – and a third 26-year-old man.

The 30-year-old man sustained lacerations to his face and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment; however, has since been released.

The 20-year-old man sustained minor facial injuries, while the 26-year-old man sustained swelling to his head.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended and arrested three men – aged 24, 27 and 31.

The trio were taken to Maroubra Police Station and charged with affray.

They were all granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 7 December 2016.

Inquiries are continuing.
