Three charged after large brawl, NSW

Two men, and a teenager will appear in court following an alleged assault in Cabramatta West yesterday, NSW Police say.

On Saturday 13 January 2018, two men aged 21 and 22, became involved in a verbal argument at a sporting event they were attending. The argument allegedly turned into a physical altercation involving other unknown persons.

About 9.15pm (Monday 15 January 2018) police were called to Mumford Road, Cabramatta West, following reports of a large brawl. Police will allege it was linked to the argument on Saturday 13 January 2018.

Officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attended and separated two groups.

Following investigations, police arrested two men aged 19, 20 and a teenage boy aged 15, at the scene. They were all taken to Cabramatta Police Station.

The 20-year-old man was charged with common assault, affray, assault officer in execution of duty, and resist officer in execution of duty.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Monday 29 January 2018.

The 19-year-old man was charged with affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Monday 29 January 2018.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with affray and will appear at a Children’s Court on Monday 12 February 2018.
