Three Charged, Weapons Seized in St Peters Vehicle Search

Three men have been charged and weapons seized after a car was stopped and searched in the Inner West yesterday afternoon.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were called to Campbell Street, St Peters, about 1.15pm (Friday 29 August 2025), due to concerns about the behaviour of three men.

Police stopped and searched a vehicle in Campbell Street seizing a machete, cable ties, duct tape and an electronic stun device.

Three men – aged 23, 43 and 44 – were arrested and taken to Newtown Police Station where they have each been charged with conspiring to commit the offence of take/detain person in company with intent to obtain advantage.

All three have been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 30 August 2025).
