Two men and a woman have been charged after a man died following a fall in Sydney's north west last week.
About 2.40am on Sunday 17 May 2026, emergency services were called to Crane Road, Castle Hill, following reports a man had been heard shouting from the balcony of a unit complex.
On arrival, officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command located a 44-year-old man suffering serious injuries in a garden outside the building.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene; however he could not be revived.
A crime scene has been established and officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command and North West Metropolitan Region, with the assistance from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, commenced an investigation under Strike Force Sunbach.
Following inquiries, yesterday (Wednesday 20 May 2026), a 38-year-old man was arrested at Castle Hill Police Station where he was later charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 21 May 2026), where he was refused bail to appear at the same court tomorrow (Friday 22 May 2026).
Following further inquiries, about 2.40pm today (Thursday 21 May 2026), detective attached to The Hills Police Area Command, with the assistance from Central Metropolitan Region and State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, executed a search warrant at a home in Woolloomooloo.
A 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were arrested on scene and taken to Kings Cross Police Station where they were both charged with murder.
They were both refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 7 tomorrow (Friday 22 May 2026).
Inquiries under Strike Force Sunbach continue.
