Three injured in Epping crash

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash which left three teenagers with injuries in Epping this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police attempted to intercept a vehicle on Cooper Street just after 2am.

The vehicle sped off and crashed into a pole before hitting a tree.

One of the occupants fled the scene and is yet to be located, three other occupants were initially trapped.

A 16-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl and another, yet to be identified girl, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is yet to be determined if the vehicle is stolen and the incident will be investigated by local police.
