Three injured in serious crash - Lilyfield

Two men and a woman have been injured following a serious crash at Lilyfield tonight.

About 7.30pm (Sunday 26 May 2019), emergency services were called to 100 metres west of the intersection on City West Link Road and Darley Road, Lilyfield, after reports a red Volkswagen Golf hatchback and a black Volkswagen Golf sedan collided.

The driver and sole occupant of the red Volkswagen hatchback, a woman aged in her 30s to 40s, sustained minor injuries. She was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

The driver and passenger of the black Volkswagen Golf sedan, both men aged in their 20s, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers from Crash Investigation Unit, with assistance from Leichhardt Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Westbound City West Link Road will be closed for some time while the scene is forensically examined.

As inquiries continue, any witnesses, or anyone with information or dash cam footage, is urged to come forward.
