Three separate car fires overnight, SA

Police are investigating three separate car fires overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 1.15am, Tuesday 24 October, police and fire crews were called to a car on fire in Gulf Parade, Maslins Beach. MFS extinguished the fire but the Nissan patrol was extensively damaged. A man was seen with a towel covering his face running from the scene. He is described as between 20-30-years-old, with a bald head. Police dog Havoc attended the area but the man was not located.

At about 3.40am, Tuesday 24 October, Western Adelaide police and MFS were called to the corner of Ralston and Military Road, Largs Bay after reports of a car on fire. On arrival, the Ford Courier was quickly extinguished but not before it was extensively damaged. Checks discovered the car was stolen from Findon a week ago.

At about 3.50am, Tuesday 24 October, a Deborah Grove resident woke to the sound of a car horn beeping. He discovered his car on fire in the driveway and attempted to extinguish it with a garden hose. The new Nissan sedan was extensively damaged as a result of the fire.

All three fires are unrelated but deemed to be suspicious and Crime Scene Investigators will attend to examine the vehicles.
