Three Teenagers Charged Over Armed Robbery - Rooty Hill

Three teenage boys will face court over an alleged armed robbery in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 September 2025), emergency services were called to a bus stop on Rupertswood Road, Rooty Hill, following reports of an armed robbery.

Officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were told a 14-year-old boy was at a bus stop when a white sedan stopped in front of him and three occupants – all believed to be teenage boys – exited before they demanded his mobile phone.

Inquiries alleged they were not known to the boy and one of the boys was armed with a machete when he threatened the 14-year-old boy.

A short time later, police located the mobile phone nearby.

A crime scene was established, and the mobile phone devices was seized to be forensically examined.

Following inquiries, about 4.50pm on the same day, three teenagers – two aged 15 and one aged 14 – were arrested at a shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue, Mount Druitt, after officers stopped the white sedan.

Police searched the vehicle and seized a machete for a forensic examination.

Officers also seized a small amount of alleged cannabis and Methylamphetamine from one of the 15-year-old boys.

They were all taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where the 16-year-old boy was charged with robbery in company and driver neve licensed.

One of the 15-year-old boys was charged with robbery.

The third boy was charged with robbery in company, and two counts of possess prohibited drug.

They were all refused bail to appear at children's court today (Thursday 25 September 2025).
