Three teenagers have been arrested as investigations continue into a serious assault in Sydney's west yesterday.
About 5.40pm (Wednesday 4 August 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Perigee Close, Doonside, following reports of an assault.
A 16-year-old boy was found unresponsive with injuries to his head and chest. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation under Strike Force Brens.
As part of initial inquiries, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on Rosenthal Street about 11.50pm yesterday.
Following further inquiries, a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were arrested on Mikado Way about 8am today (Thursday 5 August 2021).
They were all taken to Blacktown Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
Investigations are continuing.
