Three teens arrested at Mawson Lakes, SA

Police have arrested three teenagers on a stolen scooter at Mawson Lakes early this morning, according to SA Police.

Northern District patrols were doing a general patrol of Mawson Lakes when they spotted three teenage boys riding on a scooter in Euston Walk. The scooter had no plates and no lights and none of the boys were wearing helmets.

When the rider spotted police, they did a quick u-turn and travelled along the footpath before losing control and falling off.

All three ran from the scene but patrols, with the assistance of PD Marley, soon found them hiding in nearby bushes.

Checks on the scooter revealed that it had been stolen from Munno Para a few nights ago.

A 15-year-old from Munno Para, a 16-year-old from Munno Para West and an 18-year-old from Hakcham West were all charged with illegal use. The two youths were bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 23 November and the man was refused police bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
