Three-year-old boy critical, after near drowning, NSW

A three-boy-boy remains in a critical condition in hospital after almost drowning at a rural property in Putty yesterday.

The woman found her son on the bottom of the backyard pool shortly before 3pm (Saturday 26 January 2019)

She pulled the boy from the pool and began CPR.

Paramedics and officers from Hunter Valley Police District were called to the home and the boy was airlifted to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue, however; the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
