Three Youths Arrested After Crash At Angle Vale

Three youths were arrested after allegedly crashing a stolen car at Angle Vale this afternoon.

A stolen black Toyota hatchback was spotted in the Mawson Lakes area around 1pm on Thursday 7 May and police were alerted. A few minutes later it was tracked by PolAir as it travelled through the northern suburbs.

The Toyota collided with two other cars near the intersection of Merlot Road and Angle Vale Road, Angle Vale about 1.30pm. The occupants of the Toyota tried to run off but were quickly arrested by patrols with the assistance of Police Dog Bandit.

Miraculously, there were no injuries in the crash.

A Mitsubishi SUV and a Hyundai SUV were towed from the scene due to collision damage. The stolen Toyota was towed away for forensic examination.

A 16-year-old Salisbury North girl, a 15-year-old Kilburn girl and a 16-year-old Mawson Lakes boy were arrested and charged with illegal use. The 16-year-old girl was also charged with driving unlicensed and without due care.

The Toyota hatch had been stolen from a Paralowie address on 30 April. Investigations are continuing.
