Three youths arrested over break ins at Gold Coast

Police have arrested three youths after a number of alleged break and enters on homes and into cars at Mermaid Waters in the early hours of this morning.

Around 1.50am residents of Sundowner Court called police after seeing people acting suspiciously in the street.

Police attended and cordoned off the area locating three male youths and taking them into custody.

During the incident a 13-year-old boy sustained a minor bite to his knee from a police dog and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Three boys aged 13, 15 and 17 have been charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

All three are due to appear in the Southport Children's Court.

Police investigations are ongoing.
