Three youths arrested over thefts and damage in Ulverstone, TAS

Three youths were arrested on Saturday in relation to a series of offences occurring in Ulverstone late last week, Tasmania Police say.

It is alleged that over two days a number of vehicles were entered with property stolen, another vehicle stolen as well as paint being sprayed onto up to eight other vehicles and 7 homes in the East Ulverstone area.

Detective Constable Kellie Ladson of Devonport CIB states:

"Police would like to thank the community of Ulverstone for their assistance in apprehending these offenders.

"Again it is a timely reminder to people to lock their vehicles and secure all valuables, several of the cars targeted were unlocked."

A girl was given Police bail while two boys appeared before an after-hours sitting of the Youth Justice Court and were held in detention. They are to reappear today (Monday 19/2/18).
